One morning I was dropping off my son at school and just ahead of me in the carpool line was this adorable pink vintage VW Beetle. I knew right then and there that I absolutely HAD to style a session around that car! I went straight home and posted a question to my Facebook page to find out if anyone knew the mom driving that car. Facebook is a crazy place but it does occasionally come in handy because I was able to find out who the owner is! I sent Jackie a message asking her if I could borrow it for some pictures and she generously let us use it for an evening.
Quickly, I started coming up with names of girls I wanted for this session and just about everyone was able to do it. We started brainstorming outfits for everyone and it all turned out so amazing! I knew Morgan could totally pull off a 60's decade kind of look and she even had saddle shoes for one outfit!
All the girls put together the cutest looks and I grabbed things from my Style Closet also. Over the years I've accumulated a little stash of things I want to use for styled sessions and sometimes I do an entire shoot just inspired by one item! The white tulle skirt I have is one of my favorite things. Robin brought a white crop tee and heels and I just love this understated glam look on her!
I have so many images from this session so I'll save some for another post! Styling a shoot like this always manages to give me a boost of energy and make me excited about shooting when I start feeling burned out on other things. Every now and then I just have to take pictures that are really just for ME!
