Here comes another hard post for me!
I've known Seren since she was a tiny baby. Her parents are some of our dearest friends! We were part of a church in Atlantic Station many years ago around the time that our kids were in preschool. There have been sleepovers, family dinners, trips to the ballet and birthday parties in these last 15 years. Not as many get togethers since the kids have been in high school with their busy schedules but lots of fun memories and the parents still have brunch together occasionally!
This beautiful girl is smart and sweet and, as you can see, has incredible style! Seren wanted to include books and her love of reading into her senior session so I found this incredibly cute bookstore in Atlanta to start our evening. I'm so glad the employees didn't mind us taking a few pictures in the window before bookclub started! What a pretty spot!
We headed over to Little Five Points for the next part of her session because the colorful murals were another location Seren was hoping to include in her pictures. There are so many great little corners and murals in this neighborhood and I never get tired of visiting and using this location!
In addition to books and reading, Seren also wanted to take some of her senior portraits at a record store and that was another great reason to use L5P. Criminal Records has a great store and it's fun to use both the inside of the store as well as the outside. And then just down the street is Variety Playhouse, one of the best music venues in Atlanta! So we got in, books, murals, and music into her session. Mission accomplished!
Last but not least we went to Piedmont Park for a more formal look. The meadow with the Atlanta skyline in the background will always be in my Top 3 Favorite Locations! Seren was in orchestra at Kell High School so she brought along her cello for some pictures as well. Her younger brother was awesome and carried it to the park from the car!
I absolutely love this dress on her and her choice of boots that she wore with it! She is the absolute cutest and I love her so much!
Seren, you aren't 4 years old and drinking hot chocolate in my kitchen anymore or having Spiderman birthday parties (well, maybe still the Spiderman birthday party would still be fun even at age 18) but that's how I'll always picture you! I love your curiosity, ambition, and determination! I can not wait to see what the next few years hold for you and I know your family is very proud of you. Love you tons, precious girl! XOXO
