This post is going to be seriously image heavy! Zoe and I had SO MANY favorites from her session so it's nearly impossible to narrow it down! One of the reasons we had so many favorites is because she did an incredible job choosing outfits and brought 7 to her session. Seven sounds like a lot but when you scroll down and look through, I think you'll agree with me when I ask, ... which ones would we have left out?! They were all too good and I'm glad we were able to fit all of them in.
West Milford Farm is honestly one of the greatest locations for bringing a lot of outfit changes because we have so many different backgrounds to use. That way it doesn't look like we stayed in the same place and just changed clothes over and over.
Zoe opted for a morning appointment because her session was scheduled for right in the middle of the summer! Even in the morning, it was still very humid but getting it done early in the day was SO MUCH BETTER than late. We started out in the big field and in the garden while the sun was at its lowest point. I'd only ever been to this location in the evening but now I'm a huge fan of mornings here!
So Thankful for Some Clouds!
After her first two outfits, we were really lucky to get some cloud cover so we used a different field since we could be out in the open without squinting. We seriously had beautiful skies the whole day! They broke open to reveal blue skies just in time to be the backdrop for her blue chambray dress. And her outfit with the white top and green skirt with the trees behind her really shows off her green eyes. The last image in this set is one I just had to use one of those pictures for the cover of my Senior Welcome Guide for this year! It feels like all my favorite things wrapped up in one image.
This Greenhouse Location is a Favorite for Senior Portraits!
Last, but certainly not least, are Zoe's pictures in the greenhouse and outside the barn at West Milford Farm. This location has easily become a top favorite! It looks slightly different each time I use it and there are so many different ways to change up your pictures just in this one little spot. It has such a bohemian feel to it and it's a great way to bring some nature + architectural elements into your images. The windows are SO PRETTY!
We had such a great time and Zoe's session will forever be one of my favorites! I love this girl; she really put her all into her senior portraits and it shows! It makes such a difference when you have lots of communication. We talked a lot about what she would wear and she was really clear with her answers on the questionnaire I sent when we started to plan. It can all feel a little overwhelming but it's so much easier when there's lots of communication between you, your parents, and myself. I'm always so appreciative of clients, like Zoe and her mom, who are really invested in the process!
Zoe and Kristi, thank you SO MUCH for asking me to do this for you! Definitely one of the highlights for me of Class of 2023. You've had such an amazing senior year and I loved watching your adventure of a semester in Hawaii! You're going to love UGA and I'm so excited for you!
