I can't believe it's been a year since I took these portraits of Sophia! In the winter I don't schedule regular senior sessions because the weather is just too cold and rainy. However, I often plan a creative session just for fun! Sophia is a dancer and last February we planned a session to incorporate her love of dance along with these beautiful tulle dresses and skirts I have in my Style Closet. It was also a great way to get her all warmed up for her senior portrait session later in the spring!
We decided to take the session outside for a less traditional setting instead of in a studio and Lake Allatoona was the perfect choice! We were lucky to have a warm, gorgeous day and we had so much fun creating these images!
Senior Portrait Session in Spring
Sophia's senior session was scheduled in April, just after Spring Break, and she wanted a unique location for her senior portraits and Carter's Lake was a great spot for her! This is one of my favorite locations because there are so many different backgrounds between the lake, the overlook, the road, and the park. It's an absolutely amazing place!
Sophia absolutely knocked it out of the park when it came to her outfit choices! I like to suggest that everyone bring a couple casual outfits and a couple dressier outfits to give your pictures some variety. She brought a couple outfits with jeans and included her Auburn t-shirt with one outfit. This is one of the benefits of waiting until spring to take your senior pictures because you've probably decided what your plans are for the following year and can include your college decision into your images!
We finished up her session at sunset and she wore this gorgeous long dress! It was an incredible evening and her images looked amazing framed and in her album!
I'm really looking forward to my spring sessions this year which start on Sunday! It's so hard to believe there are only a few more months until Class of 2024 graduates! I still have a couple of session dates available for anyone who hasn't booked yet and I'd love to plan a session for you as amazing as Sophia's was!
