Oh my gosh! This session was SO AWESOME! When Ashton's dad first contacted me I was excited just because I knew we'd be shooting in Atlanta since Ashton goes to Druid Hills HS. But then when Ashton answered the questions I sent him and said he wanted to do some with his skateboard I was even more excited to do something that fun and different! We started out the day at a cat cafe in Grant Park, then we went to a market on the beltline and finished up at the skate park in Old Fourth Ward. It was a bit of driving around but we started early enough so that we wouldn't feel too rushed.
I even took along some special film from Dubble Film called Stereo. It's pretreated to range from a redscale to blue and was a lot of fun to use during this session! If you're thinking of using this film I recommend shooting in direct sunlight in a high contrast scene just as I recommend this for Dubble Film Jelly. Backlit, low contrast and shady subjects and lighting just don't seem to produce good results. I'm happy with some of the ones we captured and I'll definitely be experimenting with this film again. The images with the Stereo film are the last three in this set.
