I consider the greatest compliment to be: when clients return to me for their senior portraits for younger siblings! I took Alex's older sister's pictures back in the summer of 2020. Samantha was the very first senior session where I only used my film camera and I didn't even take my digital camera with me! I felt like I was taking a big risk then. I even started our session by telling them, "This is the first time I haven't had my digital camera here as Plan B. When I get the film scans back and if I discover that I have messed it all up, are you okay with rescheduling with me to do it over again?" They reassured me they were totally fine with this approach and that they trusted me to do it well! Their vote of confidence was a huge boost for me and when I saw that her pictures were incredible I was so relieved and I knew I'd never go back to using a digital camera at my sessions!
Now here we were 3 years later, and they trusted me again with Alex's senior portraits! I'm so so thankful for repeat clients!
Location Change
One of the things Alex requested was to combine two different locations: urban and nature. Marietta and Kennesaw Mountain are a great way to get these two backdrops together during one session! We started out the evening in downtown Marietta where we did two outfits and then we drove a few minutes to this great field and trail to finish up the night. He brought his guitar with him and we made sure to take some pictures with a shirt from his top college choice also.
Alex is at the US Naval Academy this year and he's an amazing guy and I loved getting to hang out with him and then also see him later in the year to take some cap and gown pictures as well!
