Oh this beautiful girl! She is so precious! I think I met her when she was cheering at a football game at Sequoyah but all of that seems so far away that I can't remember. I miss games now that we're doing limited seating because I don't have a kid on the team or cheering or in band. I think those tickets really should go to parents and students as much as possible so I've decided to watch the livestream from home when I can.
I loved getting to take Samantha's senior pictures and I was so excited when she won a session from me when I was celebrating my 100th senior session. I still can hardly believe I've taken that many senior portraits! During my first few years in business (2011-2013) I didn't have very many seniors. I was mostly doing family sessions, children's portraits, and weddings. After a very stressful year and a lot of stressful business situations I almost shut everything down. But in 2014 I started getting more inquiries for seniors and discovered that I really loved doing pictures with teens more than any other type of photography. I began saying No to other sessions so I could focus on giving seniors my full attention and I have never regretted that decision!
As I'm coming up on my 10th anniversary in business I've been doing a lot of reminiscing and I am so very thankful for students like Samantha and parents like her mom Laurie. Clients who appreciate what I do make my job so worthwhile!
