Sometimes I forget how I met people and sometimes it's a vivid memory.
In fall 2018 a few Sequoyah HS moms had requested I take some pictures of their kids playing in the band during the football games. One of those moms was Stephanie. She asked me to look for her daughter Madison, "She's the little one in the tuba section." It was easy picking her out! The tuba is bigger than she is. But don't ever let her small stature fool you: there's so much talent and ambition packed into this girl it will blow your mind!
Later the next spring, I asked for some models for a formal-themed shoot and she was one of the girls who came to that session. She used to dance and makes posing look so natural and easy. I also did some pictures of her with some friends and she participated in my True Influencers project and that picture is proudly displayed in my office!
I love this girl to pieces. She's funny, brilliant, talented, sweet and sensitive and there's absolutely nothing she can't do when she makes up her mind to do it. I don't know what her parents have done all these years to grow all three of their girls into such remarkable women but I think they should write a book and teach the rest of us their secrets.
Madison, I've loved getting to know you over the last couple years and I'm gonna cry like a baby when you walk across that stage to receive your diploma.
