This session with Rebecca was such a special honor because this was the second time she asked me to take her senior portraits! Four years ago we took her high school senior pictures but now it was time for her college senior session. When I first met Rebecca, she wanted some of her high school senior pictures taken at Georgia Tech since that's where she was going for college. It was so fun to see her again at the end of those four years on campus in her cap and gown! We started out the evening at some of the most popular spots for pictures like the Tech historical marker and Tech Tower. It's so important to get these iconic locations into your college senior portraits!
Rebecca was a sideline cheerleader for the Yellowjackets so she wanted to also include Bobby Dodd Stadium as one of her locations. It felt a little bit like being on campus with a celebrity with special clearance! Getting to have the field and stadium all to ourselves is something I'll never forget! The cherry on top was when mascot Buzz showed up and got in some of her pictures!
Rebecca was really wanting to use a totally unique location: this Atlanta rooftop with the Georgia Tech sign in the background. Unfortunately, the night we met on campus, this location wasn't available so we decided to try again later in the week. We had absolutely gorgeous skies but it was also VERY windy! It was so fun and I was so relieved when I received the scans that we had so many great images in spite of the challenging conditions! She wore this gorgeous For Love And Lemons dress and I just love how it looks with the blue windows on the building and agains that blue sky!
There was an office party scheduled on the rooftop that evening and some men were hanging out waiting for it to begin. Rebecca was going to pop the champagne bottle but with the wind we had to give the guys a warning: we didn't want to have them covered in champagne spray! They made the smart move to wait inside.
I have loved every minute I've gotten to spend with this beautiful woman and I'm so excited for her as she starts this new chapter! Rebecca, thank you SO MUCH for asking me to take your senior portraits...twice!
