Ellie - Class of 2022

Fifteen years ago I walked through this house with the For Sale sign in the front yard. It seemed to meet absolutely all of our needs and wants.

And I walked out to the backyard and next door this lovely young mom was playing with her toddler daughter in their backyard. I thought, "Oh, well how perfect is that? Anna will have a friend next door."

How could I have known how attached I myself would get to that sweet girl? But here we are and Ellie will always have a special piece of my heart. To me she will eternally be 5 years old carrying around Dino and fascinated by bugs and scary Halloween costumes. Your smile lights up every room and your spirit shines through in every thing you do. Your passion for justice and equality for the marginalized is an example to me and many others. The creativity and joy you possess are some of God's gifts not just to you but for the rest of us to witness.

Thank you for being you in the most honest and genuine and vulnerable way! I love you TONS ...don't ever ever forget it.
