This incredibly talented swimmer and beautiful girl was also valedictorian of Dutchtown High School this year!
Nora is all-around an amazing human being and I adored being able to take her senior portraits last summer! Her session was scheduled over July 4th weekend and our plan was to use Piedmont Park for our location for at least one portion. We also decided, that to avoid the hottest part of the day, we would do it as a morning session rather than in the evening. What we didn't anticipate was that the Peachtree Junior road race would also be that morning and that there would be safety guard rails event tents and things all set up in the park! Thankfully, all my favorite places in the park weren't affected by the event and we were there and finished early enough to not be in the way of the children running.
Nora wore this gorgeous white dress to start and then changed to a more casual look in her shorts and white top.
Changing Locations
One of the main reasons we chose Piedmont Park for our location was because it's a halfway point between Stockbridge and Woodstock. Piedmont Park is such a perfect spot because it gives you plenty of nature backdrops with the trees and duck pond but it's also super easy to move down the street into downtown Atlanta for a more urban background.
These images below were Nora's favorites! I love that blue top and jeans outfit and her red dress from Madewell is incredible!
To honor her Filipino heritage Nora wanted to wear a traditional blouse and skirt. Red is such a beautiful color on her! She and her brother Max used to participate in traditional Filipino dances and I hope her grandmother loved these portraits of her. The Georgian Terrace was a great place to finish her session in this outfit and lended a more formal feel to it!
Nora, thank you SO much for asking me to be your senior photographer this year! It was a privilege getting to meet you and be part of your senior year! Best of luck at Davidson College next year; they are lucky to have you!
