The last couple months have been too busy to get caught up on blogging Class of 2022 sessions but I'm hoping to get a few done this week!
First up, Caylin!
Caylin's session was absolutely one of the highlights from the entire year! This girl is super creative and is always so fun to collaborate with. This is probably our 4th time working together but this time it was for her senior pictures so I definitely wanted to make this all about her! She's going to college for fashion design and I think that's obvious from her style and I can't even wait to see where her path leads.
We went into Atlanta to take these and decided on one of my favorite places near Luckie Street. That whole area has so much to offer between quiet streets and murals to my favorite parking deck.
Her outfit with the black dress and boots was definitely my favorite! We took a bunch of photos and then...my camera batteries died! I ALWAYS take extra batteries with me...not this time...so I guess technically I'm responsible 99% of the time! We were SO lucky to discover a pharmacy open a couple blocks away that had some so we could finish up! That is one of the many things I love about using film cameras, though: AA batteries are easy to find. It's not like with a digital camera when I used to have to remember to charge my main battery long enough for a full charge and then carry a second with me just in case it didn't last a full two hours. There's not usually a place to plug a battery in to charge it and that would waste so much time waiting that it would eat up the rest of our scheduled time. It's just one of the things that used to stress me out about using a digital camera.
Beside the battery, we didn't have any other issues. We took pictures right up until the sun was setting and even captured an incredible double exposure. I wanted to take a double exposure at every session with each 2023 senior but I haven't even begun tackling that project! I should probably write a reminder on my hand before I leave the house.
I'll always consider this session some of my best work and that's what happens when you get to work with someone like Caylin who is adventurous and flexible and creative! This girly has helped me to propel my work in the direction I've been wanting to go and I'm so so thankful for her! There are people in my life who have been pivotal in my progress to make this business not just successful but also fun and she is absolutely one of those people.
Caylin, I hope you always know how very loved you are! I admire you to the nth degree! Thank you for inspiring me and encouraging me.
