I'm so excited about this post! This precious girl is the youngest daughter of friends we've known for 20 years. Getting to watch her grow into this amazing young woman has been such a privilege. Addie wanted to do some of her pictures in a studio and some outside in a nature setting. We stayed close to home and chose White Wall Woodstock as our studio location. It was perfect to begin inside because the weather, as usual, was acting up and it had just stopped raining and looked like it would begin again in a few hours. Getting to shoot in studio was so fun and forces me to think creatively because I have to create images that don't all look the same in a setting with limited options. It's good practice for me and I love how these turned out! Shooting in studios is also great for creating pictures that have a timeless feel and uncluttered background. White Wall Woodstock has beautiful light and having that added advantage of a climate controlled setting is so nice - hooray for air conditioning!
Once we left the studio we drove past a place that used to have a small barn but now the barn is gone! So we decided to head over to Leita Thompson Memorial Park instead. The field is so overgrown that we couldn't use that but the natural setting and fences was more than enough to get Addie the kind of pictures she was hoping for! I love that blue dress on her - it was a beautiful choice! She also wore her Pittsburgh Steelers jersey because she and her dad are huge fans. Pairing it with those awesome shoes was perfect!
